Where the Light Meets the Soil

There’s a rhythm to this tableland,

A warmth beneath the frost,

Where every line of shifted earth

Is carefully crossed.

Out where the basalt holds the sun,

And orchard breezes blow,

You build with respect for the country,

And the roots that run below.

It’s more than shifting rock and clay

Or clearing out a space

It’s shaping ground with steady hands

To create a lasting place.

From the first deep cut in heavy soil

To the final level grade,

A vision rises from the dirt

Where honest plans are made.

No hollow words, no hasty turns,

No shortcuts in the stone

Just local pride and practical heart

For the place we call our own.

So when you’re ready to begin,

To let the bright vision take hold,

We’ll prepare the ground beneath your feet

Before the story’s told.
